WFX Integration

by Shahrooz Kohan

We integrate with over 50 partners and WFX is one of them! We partnered with WFX  to provide our users the best-priced PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system without compromising quality.

Product Life Management (PLM): Overview

Pre-production planning is a crucial first step, you shouldn’t overlook. Pre-production includes sourcing your fabric and trims, deciding your costs and colors, and creating patterns. You can imagine the process isn’t easy so it’s always a great idea to have a safety net of preparation should changes occur. Implementing a PLM system allows for the development of your product in a streamlined manner. It’s a powerful tool to keep track of your production needs and even organizes your vendors for all of your materials.

Why WFX?

When we say we’re here to help you make all of your business processes easier, we mean it. And so does WFX! Besides, providing a user-friendly interface, we find their alerts and reminders feature extremely helpful, especially when deadlines are just around the corner. Once you log your materials into your WFX, it will generate a BOM (Bill of Materials) for you.

An Excerpt From our Partner:

WFX’s cloud software automates product development, sourcing, and production operations of apparel companies. More than 500 fashion companies use WFX to increase productivity, reduce overhead costs, improve customer satisfaction, and maximize profitability.

How does this integration work?

It’s important to keep in mind that WFX and AIMS360 are two separate systems so some setup is required!* Our handy Knowledge-Based (KB) articles provide full details and instructions on how to ‘map’ your data in order to import seamlessly. Since WFX uses article numbers in their system, you’ll need to use mapping for some of your data so that once the item appears in your AIMS360 system, it’ll configure in AIMS360’s material code. Some items you’ll need to map are your divisions and body codes (e.g. blouse, shoes, tops).

*Note: You may need to do more configuration depending on the types of goods you sell (ex. jewelry).

Remember- WFX is designed for pre-product planning. Therefore, once you have your production items finalized, you’re able to bring in your production data into AIMS360. Here are items you can import:

  • Style
  • Fabrics
  • Trims
  • Costing
  • BOM
  • Vendor

*For existing AIMS360 customers, please see WFX Setup.

We cannot stress how important it is to take your time setting up your WFX integration! This will undoubtedly save you time and prevent future issues. If you are interested in setting up this integration, we recommend installing in the next season so it’ll be easier to configure your production materials information into your AIMS360 system. Moreover, folks who are familiar with both systems will be able to get set up in no time.

But regardless, our Support team is always on standby should you have any questions!

Below are additional resources (only for existing AIMS360 users).
