Processing shipments for EDI trading partners can be a lengthy process due to packing rules. Ideally, you would be able to create packing rules that would allow you to quickly create shipments that conform to your trading partner requirements.
The Problem
However, conforming to your trading partner’s requirement isn’t always simple. When this happens, you find yourself having to create multiple shipments to accomplish the task. Thus, creating a new issue. As a result, you now have more shipments that your trading partner allows for the EDI process. Now your time has been wasted and you have a new issue to handle.
Our Solution
AIMS360 has resolved this complicated process with our new Batch Combine Shipments feature. This feature allows you to tag multiple shipments under the “Shipment Processing List” view and merge them into a single shipment.

Use Case
These options will allow you to create complicated shipment packing, merge shipments without losing packing details so your ASN (advantage ship notice for EDI) will go out to your trading partner exactly as they want to see it.
This also comes in handy if you forgot to associate your stores to the appropriate distribution center (DC) before you created your shipment. Some trading partners only allow one shipment per day to a DC – you’re now able to merge all the shipments based on the DC they are shipping to.
