Effective April 3, 2020, Los Angeles passed an ordinance that workers must wear masks at all stores, and patrons not wearing protective masks when entering stores can be refused entry. During this unexpected pandemic, apparel manufacturers are scrambling to aid with whatever they can to help keep our communities and country safe. The Los Angeles Mayor’s office, in partnership with fashion retailer Reformation and healthcare company Kaiser Permanente, have requested local fashion manufacturers to make cotton/fabric masks (personal protective equipment) for the general population and for healthcare workers to wear on top of their limited supply of existing clinical masks.
AIMS360 Fashion ERP is facilitating and streamlining the process for our customers to get involved in mask production and distribution. As stated by Dov Cherney, founder of Los Angeles Apparel (a vertically integrated apparel manufacturer), “with all businesses now being required by law to provide face coverings to its workers, Los Angeles Apparel is proud to assist. With your generosity, we are using our expertise and our many resources, like AIMS 360, to meet this unexpected demand and serve our country and fellow citizens.”
AIMS360 Apparel Software has seen a surge of client demand to use its business software during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, AIMS360 has been consulting clients on the best practices for setting up their process for production, inventory, order taking, packing, and shipping of facemasks and other personal protective equipment. Using the cloud-based fashion ERP, apparel back office and manufacturing employees can continue to perform their job duties remotely and safely. “Using AIMS360 as a face mask ERP software provides full transparency of production, inventory, orders, allocation, accounts receivable, and more. Our ERP software is helping our clients manage not only production of personal protective equipment (PPE), but also allowing them to sell to any channel; like phone delivery orders, e-commerce direct to consumer, wholesale e-commerce, and selling to major retailers (EDI)” stated Shahrooz Kohan, CEO of AIMS360.
