by Shahrooz Kohan

AIMS360 November Release Note

In observation of our Programming team code freeze, our team will not be releasing new features from the time this post is published to Dec. 17th. They’ll still do the usual bug squashing and will resume releasing new features and enhancements at the top of 2019! That said, we hope you enjoy the following items that were inspired by you. Happy holidays!

Note** For our existing AIMS360 customers, you’ll be able to view our reference links provided in each section.

New Features

Come on over and check out the latest enhancements we made.

Improved Communications between AIMS360 + UPS Worldship and Fedex Ship Manager

We see you and we hear you! For our existing AIMS360 customers who are used to using UPS WorldShip and FedEx ShipManager, we’ve advanced our shipping utility so that you’re able to communicate your data from either service to your AIMS360 system.

  • Enables you to send you pick ticket data to UPS Worldship system or FedEx ShipManager
  • Receive updates on freight and tracking for invoicing in AIMS30

For existing AIMS360 customers, please see: Advanced Shipping Utility to UPS World Ship or Fedex ShipManager

Added New Filter Items for Business Intelligence Report (BI)

We now have the ability to break out your style information into:

  • Inventoried Items
  • Non-inventoried items
  • Service Fees

These filters will allow you to include/exclude items for your Business Intelligence Report. For example, it didn’t make sense to add service fees to your BI report so now you’ll be able to exclude them.

*Whispers* What is the Business Intelligence Report?

We created the Business Intelligence Report so our users can quickly create a pivot table using any information from style, color, and size. It’s best used to see sale trends over an X amount of years. Create your pivot table by dragging and dropping items from the data list.

For existing customers, please read Business Intelligence Report for more details.

Update on Samples Report

Oops! We just noticed that colors marked as inactive would not print on the report even if the style/color was active. This issue is now resolved! Is there such a thing as being too caffeinated?

New Excel Export Option for Style Stock Adjustments

This one is on us. We used to assign a size bucket number for each of your size scales in our Style Stock Adjustment module but now it’s configured where it’ll show your actual size scales. No more guesswork! Under the Excel export option, look for “Excel (Normalized by Size). The format will show the actual size descriptions or names (one per row).

3rd Party Integrations Updates

Credit Hilldun Factor – Fixed FTP Connection Issues

In case you didn’t know, we integrate with factors too! We received feedback from our customers (thank you!) that there were connection issues with our Credit Hilldun integration. Our team has quickly resolved this issue and improved its usability. #CantStopWonStop

Third Party Logistics (3PL) Integration – Added Ability to Read the Carton Dimensions

EDI folks! For your ASN process, we’ve added a code to read the carton dimension transmitted via a 945 from any 3PL. The data will be copied into the shipment replicated in AIMS360 and transmitted as part of the ASN /856 data.

Bergen Logistics- Added ability to read carton dimensions and add to ASN

If you’re using our Bergen Logistics integration, we’ve also added a code to read the carton dimension. And as a bonus, we’ve improved this integration so that Bergen Logistics can take the carton dimension on its own and produce your ASN for you. Thanks Bergen for being such a G.

EDI – Electronic Transactions with Major Department Stores

If you’re working with EDI then you know retailers frequently ask for changes! To stay compliant with our list of EDI retailers, we’re constantly working hard to ensure our end is updated with their latest features. Here are some of the updates:

Added Alternate Style Description Element to Catalog (832)

Your 832 Catalog will now have an alternate style description (optional use). You can use this box for a variety of reasons. For instance, if your trading partner requests a different style name than your internal style code, you may input this information in the alternate style description.

For existing AIMS360 customers, if you would like to use this feature and have it mapped, please contact us at support@aims360.com.

Nordstrom – Updated UCC 128 Label

We got green beans, potatoes, new labels. It’s upgrade time. We always make sure we stay compliant with all of our trading partners. Thus, we made some changes to our Gs1-128 label for Nordstrom. This label meets the requirements as of November 12, 2018.

If you would like your label updated, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open up the details of the customer you created for Nordstroms in your AIMS360 database
  2. Navigate to the EDI tab
  3. Under EDI & Shipping click on the button labeled “Update Label”
  4. Reply Yes to update the label

In Development

Carrying on, here’s what we have coming really soon:

Allocate Inventory Based on Pre-set Rules with the Intelligent Allocation Feature

Firstly, we’re still perfecting our Intelligent Allocation module. This feature will help take all of the guesswork out of allocating goods to orders from WIP or Stock. You can take a look at some of the features coming soon by reviewing our Intelligent Allocation articles here: Intelligent Allocation (AIMS360 Customers only)

Inventory + Production Replenishment Forecasting Report

In addition, we’re planning to create a report for the last 3 months, 6 months, or year sales to project future inventory quantity need. With this report, you can plan ahead, see what areas you can save money, and stay on top of the game! Moreover, styles and colors marked with replenishment codes specifies what % to reorder.
