Being a fashion brand is far from easy. You most likely worry about orders, inventory, materials, and much more. Work can become especially difficult when a client asks for last-minute changes to an order that will require added work for you and your team.
Because of these inconveniences, AIMS360 apparel software makes it easy to adjust the labor cost by providing a service fee field under our Style Module.
What is a service fee in the fashion industry?
A service fee is an additional cost that can be added to a customer order to increase the order total to the customer but has no relation to inventory. These items will only print on the customer order/invoice.
What are some use cases?
When a client requires extra attention or has special requests for an order, service fees can be added to the existing cost. Let’s say, for example, a client wants to add embroidered artwork to a finished product. You can add a service fee for the last-minute changes the client wants to add to the order.
You can also use service fees for:
- Rush orders
- Additional packaging
- Restocking (notice) fee
- Get creative with your own custom service fee
